Digital, made understandable

Making the analog world easy to understand, digitally

Our services

DiO's four services

Backed by ongoing research and development, we offer four services
Each service has an intro video and a link to its detail page

01

Ichigen-cho Building Maintenance

Built to be usable by anyone
Inspection and repair records, as-built drawings*, photos, and reports are gathered per building to support owner briefings and contractor coordination

PLATEAU data × LINE, from a low costUsing PLATEAU data from Japan's Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism (MLIT) and LINE, the app everyone usesSumaho DE Zumen (Ichigen-cho Lite): on its own JP¥3,980 per month (excluding tax) / for Ichigen-cho users, included in the Ichigen-cho contract (free)

3D × Equipment Ledger / Equipment DB

Keep your existing equipment ledger/DB and overlay it on 3D so maintenance, failures, and assets are visible by location
From new hires to the CEO, on the same screen

Business Partnership Advisory

Drawing on ties with universities, municipalities, companies, and specialists, we accompany partner introductions, joint proposals, and deal structuring from first consultation through delivery

CAD conversion (3D modeling and drawings for equipment without drawings)

An old machine that still runs today
Do you have its drawings? From paper drawings or from hearings, photos, and hand measurement, we turn them into 3D data and drawings

DiO has worked on creating data for PLATEAU, the 3D city model by Japan's Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism (MLIT), and applies that expertise to building maintenance and management to contribute to society

*As-built drawings: drawings handed over by the construction company when a building is newly built
Most are kept on paper, and turning them into PDFs requires a paid scanning service, for example through a building maintenance company
The information is accurate, but after years of renovations some parts may differ from the actual building

Our concerns

Do any of these sound familiar?

From site to data

Turning on-site equipment into connected data

Current state in 3D and drawings
→
Used alongside your existing ledger and DB, visualized by location
→
From Ichigen-cho to daily management

We create drawings and 3D models of machines and equipment and overlay them with the information in your equipment ledger, so you can see what is happening where
For building management sites, Ichigen-cho Building Maintenance handles as-built drawings*, equipment, work orders and reports together

Our approach

Making the "current state" of equipment visible, with evidence

Buildings and equipment last longer with care
Even so, they eventually age
For each piece of equipment in buildings and factories, DiO is researching and developing a way to build up the actual degree of deterioration (soundness) through calculations that show their basis, and to present together with it a "confidence" level showing how reliable the result is
By making the current condition of equipment (soundness and an indication of remaining life) easier to grasp, which is hard to see from book figures alone, we hope to support forward-looking maintenance decisions

  • We aim to state the basis and sources of calculations, and to indicate values that DiO has set itself
  • We are designing the system to disclose the basis and method of calculations

Soundness, confidence, estimated remaining life and the like are estimates and reference values based on evidence, and do not guarantee results

Technology & trust

Technology and trust

  • Research and development on deterioration We are researching and developing ways to capture changes in condition through calculations that show their basis
  • Joint research with universities Together with universities, we have worked on joint research on digitizing disaster damage certificates and on difference analysis using point cloud data
  • Technology developed in cultural property conservation Our experience digitizing cultural properties such as shrines and temples in high definition is applied to the analysis of equipment and structures
