Adding the Sumaho DE Zumen (smartphone floor plans) function to Ichigen-cho Building Maintenance

DiO inc. is adding the Sumaho DE Zumen (smartphone floor plans) function to Ichigen-cho Building Maintenance, its cloud service for building management
The function creates floor plans (drawings) of building interiors from photos taken with a smartphone

Sumaho DE Zumen uses AI to automatically create a floor plan of each floor from smartphone photos
It makes it easy to understand where rooms and equipment are, right inside Ichigen-cho

Main features

  • AI automatically creates a floor plan of each floor from photos taken with a smartphone
  • It can be used from within Ichigen-cho, and the finished floor plans are placed directly in the drawings section of Ichigen-cho
  • The building exterior can be checked with the 3D view function (option) that uses PLATEAU from Japan's Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism (MLIT)
Use the 3D view for the exterior and Sumaho DE Zumen for the interior floor plans

Before you use it

  • The floor plans are provisional drawings (approximate) for understanding positions, not accurate drawings like as-built drawings*
The screen also shows that they are approximate
  • They cannot be used for statutory inspection records or for guidance on evacuation routes or fire extinguisher locations
  • Take photos only within the scope permitted by the building owner or manager
Do not photograph other tenants' rooms, people's faces, documents or computer screens
  • If you need drawings accurate down to the dimensions, please import as-built drawings* or use DiO's CAD conversion (3D modeling and drawings for equipment without drawings) (charged separately)

We are currently preparing to launch it
Pricing and the launch date will be announced separately

*As-built drawings: drawings handed over by the construction company when a building is newly built
Most are kept on paper, and turning them into PDFs requires a paid scanning service, for example through a building maintenance company
The information is accurate, but after years of renovations some parts may differ from the actual building
